Dissolving and Evolving

Dissolve to Evolve'

A new friend of mine posted this phrase on Instagram the other day and it so resonated with me. In multiple ways this has been my life for the past almost 10 years. It’s a painful but necessary process in order to be who God truly intended us to be and to carry out our purpose.

I could write (and I have) so much about how through the journey of our childhood relationships and education growing up most of the time shapes a false identify that we live in for many, many years. Unless we take the time to become aware and do the internal work to follow our own truth, most of us die feeling unfulfilled and have a lot of regrets. So sad.

Choosing to really know who you are and what you are uniquely called to do requires dissolving: to cause to disperse or disappear. To bring to an end.

Here are some areas I personally have had to dissolve to evolve:

◘  My physical space. Since 2012 I have moved from a 6,000 square foot packed home to a 1100 square foot apartment. It would be impossible for me to tell how much many things I have let go of with each move. Most of this had to do with losing my husband and son, but I do know so many people who should start purging before their family members have to do it for them. It’s only stuff but can be such a weight.

◘  My relationships with some people. I believe that most of the people we allow in our lives are only there for a season. Every year I evaluate my ‘front row’ and sometimes how to bless and release people who are not going to help me keep growing. This front row gets smaller as I get older.

◘  This year I made a choice to stop DOING things just because they are what I have always done out of the need to prove myself to others and to myself. It has been time for me to really question my true identity and get even more rock solid on my purpose, calling, and how I am to serve more with the knowledge and experiences, I have had. I have to tell you, it is SUPER uncomfortable to have so much space in my life, but the messages from God, my loving daughter, and mentors were clear; it was time for me to learn to love waiting on God’s best for me and enjoy the ride more!

◘  This includes dissolving old patterns, habits, and most especially, how I talk to, and take care of myself that are not the best. I read somewhere today that if we talked to our friends the way we talk to ourselves some of the time, we would not have any. I have been spending a lot of time expanding my loving and empowering thoughts through prayer, reading scripture, and journaling affirmations daily, and more.

I crave to evolve: To change or develop gradually. I want to live a more joyful, purposeful, authentic life for myself, my family, and all of you! I am clear this my purpose is to help people also get clear on who they really are, move through the dissolving to evolving process, and create the life of their dreams. If you are thinking it and feeling it in your heart, it means it is already there for you.

Cheers to evolving!
