Finding Hope

I am continuing to honor National Month of Hope by sharing tips for finding hope in this very unpredictable world we are living in. Not only have we all come through two years of unforeseen challenges together, but I am certain you have had some personal things happen in your life to shake your faith and test your positive outlook.

My own personal journey with the losses of my husband and son, moving several times in the past eight years, and shifting my business
has undoubtedly been a shedding process of how I thought my life was going to look to what it is now. But, even with all of that pain and change, I have never lost hope in knowing that I still have a future, and it’s all good.

When I was reflecting on this, here are some of the things I want to share with you that help me keep looking up if you need a little hope today…

*The first hour of the day is spent in quiet time reading (usually a devotional), journaling my thoughts, praying, and setting at least three positive intentions. I promise you this practice changes everything for how the day goes.

*Make a choice to be around inspiring, uplifting, loving people. Think about the people you are surrounded by in your life right now. Are they positive and making a difference in the world, or are they stuck in only seeing all of their problems?

*Become a part of something bigger than yourself. Take a look around you and see where you can be of service. For example, can you volunteer or help raise awareness or money for a local charity? Serving others is always uplifting.

*Stay active! Do the things that bring you joy, even if it’s simply going for a walk in the sunshine or seeing a friend. One of the biggest challenges we have had these past two years is that we have become too used to isolating.
